Cognizant is seeking a hands-on DBA with expertise in OpenSearch and Couchbase, plus Python development, to manage and optimize scalable data/search platforms. The role is hybrid across Mexico locations, including Guadalajara, CDMX, Monterrey or Queretaro.

Candidates should have strong Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL experience, robust DBA fundamentals, and advanced English. You will work with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and collaborate with multiple teams to improve performance and data

Formación

• Strong experience with Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Solid DBA fundamentals (performance tuning backup/recovery HA/DR).
• Proficiency in Python (automation, APIs, scripting).
• Experience with REST APIs, data integration, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Advanced English is a must.

Responsabilidades

• Perform DBA activities including monitoring, tuning, capacity planning and troubleshooting.
• Develop Python scripts/tools for automation, data processing and system integration.
• Optimize query performance, indexing strategies and data models across platforms.
• Ensure high availability, security and data integrity of search and database systems.
• Collaborate with application and data engineering teams on integration and performance improvements.
