Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Modeling (guided or independently)

As a customer-centered company, customer understanding is the top mission of data scientists at Stori. Among all sources used for customer understanding, Stori data scientists rely on data as the most reliable source. Daily challenges include:

• Communicating with business stakeholders to understand new initiatives
• Designing models as products
• Data collection, processing, and transformation
• Exploring new data sources
• Building, demonstrating, and maintaining modeling solutions from end to end

Analytical Problem Solving

• Translating vague concepts into structured analytical problems and using statistical methods, machine learning, and visualization to derive insights aligned with business strategies
• Designing A/B tests for measuring business impacts and analyzing test results regularly
• Innovation
• Encouraged to explore advanced tools and sources to enhance problem understanding, solving, and product maintenance

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Physics, or related quantitative fields
• 1-2+ years of experience (including internships) with Python and SQL for data analysis
• Over 2 years of experience (including internships) in data analysis or data science
• Strong communication skills in English, especially for discussing analytical concepts
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt proactively and flexibly
• Passion for problem solving with data
