Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Data Operations Analyst/ MDM Operations Associate based out of our Monterrey office.

About the Team

The Chief Data Office is driving Fitch’s data transformation, aiming to deliver modern, scalable and trusted data solutions that make innovating and working smarter at Fitch easy. The MDM (Master Data Management) squad is responsible for improving data quality of Fitch Master data, increasing automation of master data management leveraging 3rd party data providers and eliminating legacy master data solutions.

The position will work under the guidance of the local Team Lead and closely with the MDM specialists team focusing on mastering and maintenance of Legal Entity and Security data.

• MDM is a newly established team and growing rapidly as it seeks to establish a global footprint.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Conduct entity data surveillance by performing thorough data research, validation, and accurate entry into our MDM systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Understand and use 3rd-party data sources for mastering entity and security data.
  • Delivery against agreed SLA deadlines based on defined MDM workflows.
  • Assist the MDM specialists’ team with Legal Entity and Security master data maintenance.
  • Work with Team Lead to ensure data validation for key data domains across Master Data Management.
  • Identify continuous improvements to data management support processes and procedures.
  • Ensure data accuracy and coverage levels are adhered to, with robust supporting documentation.
  • Support development of data definition standards in collaboration with broader MDM team.

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • Knowledge of Legal Entity and/or Security data (Bonds, Loans and Structured Products) is highly desired.
  • Basic databases knowledge and data management of large datasets.
  • Excellent administration and communication skills, with a highly organized and methodical approach to work.
  • Must be able to communicate in fluent English.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Knowledge of third-party data management software (Informatica or similar) and third-party data sources such as FactSet, Dun & Bradstreet, ICE, Bloomberg and others is highly desirable.
  • SQL knowledge for data extraction and analysis to generate actionable insights.
  • A self-starter who can pick up new processes quickly, accurately and work in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, balancing multiple tasks, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and manipulate data, with a can-do attitude to problems.
