A leading organization is seeking a Data Analyst to manage monitoring and reporting for urban sustainability projects. This hybrid role involves data analysis, system design, and capacity building, requiring strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in performance management and expertise in data tools like Python and Power BI.
This is a hybrid position requiring 8 days/month in the office, based in Mexico City. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission, as WRI cannot sponsor visas for this role.
The WRI Ross Centre for Sustainable Cities (Cities Program) aims to transform cities into compact, connected, and resilient spaces, providing healthy, accessible, and prosperous environments. We focus on eight solution areas: Integrated Transport Systems, Vision Zero, Zero Carbon Buildings, Livable Neighborhoods, E-Mobility, Water/Heat Resilience, Air Quality, and Inclusive Climate & Energy Action Planning. Data and Urban Finance are cross-cutting themes. We work with stakeholders over long periods to demonstrate possibilities and expand impact through partnerships and city networks, connecting sustainability with health, safety, equity, and quality of life.
You will integrate equity into your work. Reporting to the Global Lead of the PPMO in the Cities Program, you will manage network-wide monitoring, data analysis, and reporting. You will handle technical aspects of project monitoring, communicate findings, and train staff. This role involves designing reports and online platforms, implementing data collection and cleaning processes, and developing dashboards for decision-making. You will also support system development, build automated data pipelines using Python, and promote best practices in data management. Additionally, you will contribute to capacity building within the program and support project management efforts.
