What you’ll be able to do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Develop robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) or ELT processes to integrate data from diverse sources into data ecosystems like data warehouses or data lakes.
- Utilize APIs to extract data from various sources such as databases, web services, and third-party platforms
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements, understand data needs, and support design solutions that align with business objectives
- Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data
- Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes, including pipeline configurations, data mappings and transformation rules
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering, ELT, and data integration
The minimum requirements we seek
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information System Management, or a related field
- Advanced English Skills
- 2+ years in proven experience as a data engineer or similar role with a focus on data integration and ELT processes
- Experience working with APIs to extract and integrate data from diverse sources
- Proficiency in Alteryx or similar for data blending, cleansing, and transformation
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience in GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, etc..) to build and manage data platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and troubleshoot issues
- A passion for data, innovation, and continuous learnin
Our preferred requirements
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Tekton, and other automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Familiarity with data governance and security practices
- Proficiency in Apache NiFi, building and managing data pipelines
- Experience with data visualization tools.
