Job summary

Gates Corporation in Toluca, Mexico, is seeking an Operations Assembly Process Engineer Data Center to develop, implement, and scale manufacturing processes for Data Center products. You will partner with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Line Management to ensure safe, repeatable, and cost-effective production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/process/assembly engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Experience developing and improving assembly processes and docs.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement know‑how.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize data center manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams.
• Industrialize and scale Data Center products from prototype to production.
• Create process flows, SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
• Design and optimize workstations, cells, layouts for safety and throughput.
• Lead DFMA, trials, validation, and manufacturing readiness.
• Conduct capacity modeling, line balancing, and bottleneck analysis.
• Train operators on new or revised processes.
