Bain & Company in Mexico City is seeking a Data Associate within the TMT CoE to work on projects with global leaders, delivering proprietary analytics for Telecom and Technology clients. This full-time hybrid role involves collaboration with a cross-functional team and on-site 4 days a week at the Polanco office.

You’ll analyze data, develop insights, and support project leadership with planning and client communication, using Python, Excel, and Alteryx.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1–3 years, ideally in a multinational corporation; exposure to management consulting and business analytics.
• Strong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2 proficiency) with ability to communicate to senior stakeholders.
• Uses Python, Excel, and PowerPoint to support analysis and communication.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This full-time hybrid role, based in our Mexico City office, is a key part of Bain’s Technology, Media, & Telecommunications Centers of Expertise (TMT CoE) within the Bain Capability Network , collaborating with global leadership, client-facing teams, and end clients to develop and deliver proprietary TMT and solutions. The CoE serves leading companies across domains such as Wireline and Wireless Telecommunication, Cable and Satellite, Media, Software, Semiconductors, Hardware, Technology, CSPs, and IT Services. The team is primarily focused on collaborating with practice/case teams on the development and deployment of industry specific analytical products to answer strategic questions of Bain’s TMT clients

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As a Data Associate within the TMT CoE, you will work in teams comprising a mix of Projects Leads, Associates/Lead Analysts and Analysts, on projects ranging from 3 weeks to 6 months. Delivery models on projects vary from working as part of a broader global Bain case team, collaborating with practice stakeholders, working independently with a Bain Associate Partner / Partner.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

• Willing and able to work in a hybrid set-up with 4 days per week on-site (Bain office in Polanco)
• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational corporation; exposure to management consulting and business analytics (preferably within the Technology, Media, or Telecommunications industries)
• Strong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2 proficiency), with the ability to communicate effectively to drive discussions / presentations with senior stakeholders
• Demonstrates strong learning agility, analytical ability, and communication skills, with an owner’s mindset and the flexibility to quickly adapt to new tools, ways of working, project expectations, and client needs
• Uses Python, Excel, and PowerPoint to support analysis and communication

Preferred:

• Understanding of GIS (geospatial) based capabilities such as capturing, storing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data to understand patterns
• Experience in telecom concepts such as 5G/LTE/VoLTE/M-MIMO optimization & related KPIs
