Here’s what you need to know about this position:

THE WORK

Build and evolve a large-scale data ecosystem on AWS with Snowflake at its core, handling billions to trillions of rows.

Contribute to the evolution from traditional Kimball and star schemas to flexible, wide denormalized tables for modern analytics and semantic modeling using dbt and Snowflake.

Design and maintain reliable, fault-tolerant data ingestion pipelines with tools like Fivetran and Estuary.

Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and business teams to shape and execute the data platform roadmap supporting a two-sided marketplace including dispensaries, consumers, orders, ads, and e-commerce.

Optimize Snowflake and AWS for top performance and cost-efficiency at scale.

Own data security, privacy, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.

Bring in your best practices around clean code, documentation, and design to help the team level up.

NEEDED EXPERTISE

5+ years of data engineering experience building and scaling cloud data warehouses.

Hands-on with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Python, and PySpark. Familiarity with Dask is a plus.

Strong understanding of Kimball principles and practical experience evolving toward denormalized wide tables for analytics.

Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Fivetran, Estuary, or similar tools.

Deep knowledge of AWS data and analytics services.

Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Solid background in data security, privacy, and compliance best practices.
