Fitch Group is seeking a Data Analyst in Monterrey to join the Data Operations team, handling collection and extraction of essential data across Fitch Group.

The role focuses on interpreting financial statements, supporting internal and external queries, and ensuring data aligns with Fitch methodologies. Strong organization and communication are essential for success.

Formación

  • Degree in accounting or business studies required.
  • Experience with financial statement data.
  • Second language is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyse and maintain financial data from annual and periodic reports in Fitch methodology.
  • Respond to internal and external data queries.
  • Ensure data is collected in line with Fitch policies and methodology.
  • Communicate with stakeholders via email, phone or in person to address data needs.
  • Recommend process improvements in data capture and quality assurance.

Fitch Group is currently seeking a Data Analyst based out of our Monterrey office. The Data Analyst will be part of our Data Operations team responsible for collection and extraction of all fundamental data needed across Fitch Group.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse and maintain data for Corporate entities within Fitch systems, interpreting financial data from annual and other periodic reports to ensure data is extracted from balance sheet, income statement and associated notes in line with Fitch methodology.
  • Support client queries both internal and external on this data as they arise.
  • Analyse financial data to ensure information from annual or periodical reports has been collected in line with Fitch policies and methodology.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders on financial data queries (via email, phone or face to face), understanding and addressing the underlying business needs.
  • Make recommendations on process improvements to the data capture/quality assurance process, and assist with implementation of new processes, guiding offshore teams and updating documentation.
  • Escalate issues to relevant team members to find timely resolutions.
  • Work with other team members in the department to complete all monthly tasks on time.
Qualifications
  • Sound knowledge of accounting practices to interpret all aspects of a financial report, preferably qualified to a degree standard in accountancy or business studies.
  • Prior experience working with financial statement fundamental data.
  • Second language advantageous.
