Job summary

Advanced Energy in Mexicali, Mexico, seeks a Customs Compliance Specialist to coordinate classification, permits, and reports for IMMEX, COFEPRIS, and related programs. You will work cross-functionally to ensure accurate handling of RM/FG/FA, manage Annex 24, IVA-IEPS certifications, and prepare INEGI and annual trade reports.

Candidates should have a degree in international trade or customs, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Mexican customs regulations.
• Experience with inventory and foreign trade control systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Effective communication and compliance-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the classification of RM, FG, and FA.
• Execute downloads and manage Annex 24.
• Manage customs regime changes (F4 and F5).
• Process permits and documentation such as R8 and COFEPRIS.
• Supervise and follow up on BOMs.
• Ensure compliance with the CTPAT program.
• Monitor and manage the IVA-IEPS certification.
• Provide support in Annex 24 administration.
• Control and supervise handling of fixed assets within the plant.
• Manage IMMEX programs.
• Prepare foreign trade reports (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Support import/export operations team.
• Prepare and submit INEGI reports.
• Prepare and submit IVA reports.
