The Opportunity
The Global Trade and Compliance Specialist is a subject matter expert in global trade and compliance topics. The role will be responsible for ensuring the correct operation of all import/export activities across the globe, avoiding government fines and impacts to the business and goods being moved across markets. They will assure business continuity for new and contingency-based commercialization projects, considering all compliance-related risks and requirements. The role supports legal representatives with Power of Attorneys for different entities, attends government audits, manages programs like AEO, IMMEX, free trade zones, and ensures their validity. Additionally, they coordinate classification of goods, confirming correct HS Tariff Codes, and assess free trade zone benefits to optimize costs. The role involves scheduling audits and identifying operational opportunities to prevent government fines or service disruptions.
