TIME CERAMICS seeks an experienced Customs and Trade Compliance Expert to lead in-house compliance for import/export, origin, and international trade matters. The role will be based in Mexico City with regular visits to the Hidalgo plant.

Fluent English is mandatory, and travel between Mexico City and Hidalgo is expected. The ideal candidate will coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, and Logistics to ensure compliance with Mexican regulations, USMCA rules of origin,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican customs and foreign trade regulations.
• Experience with USMCA origin rules and supplier-origin documentation.
• Knowledge of tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and import/export documentation.
• Experience with CBP Form 28/29, origin verification, audits, or similar proceedings preferred.
• Experience with IMMEX, Anexo 24/30, IVA and IEPS, or PROSEC preferred.
• Ability to review and reconcile BOMs, supplier invoices, production records, and export data.
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/inventory or customs compliance systems.
• Strong analytical, project-management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Mexico City and Hidalgo plant.
• Fluent English mandatory; native or professional-level Spanish required.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customs and Trade Compliance Expert to serve as the company’s in-house specialist for customs, import and export, country-of-origin, and international trade compliance matters. The position will be primarily based in Mexico City, with regular scheduled visits to our manufacturing plant in Emiliano Zapata, Hidalgo.Fluent English is mandatory.The role works closely with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales, Logistics, customs brokers, and external trade counsel to support compliance with Mexican customs regulations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements, and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, Law, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican customs and foreign trade regulations.
• Practical experience with USMCA rules of origin, origin certifications, and supplier-origin documentation.
• Strong knowledge of tariff classification, customs valuation, country-of-origin determination, and import and export documentation.
• Experience with CBP Form 28, Form 29, origin verification, customs audits, or similar proceedings is highly preferred.
• Experience with IMMEX, Anexo 24, Anexo 30, IVA and IEPS Certification, or PROSEC is preferred.
• Ability to review and reconcile BOMs, supplier invoices, production records, inventory movements, and export data.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, inventory, or customs compliance systems.
• Strong analytical, project-management, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Mexico City and the Hidalgo manufacturing plant.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Native or professional-level Spanish is required.
• Chinese-language skills are an advantage but are not required.
• Position located on Mexico City, with occasional travel to the manufacturing facility as required on Emiliano Zapata, Hidalgo.
