Ford México is seeking a qualified Customs Compliance Specialist to review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes, mitigating risk and ensuring timely shipments. The role requires bilingual Spanish/English and deep understanding of MX customs regulations and import/export procedures.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in the customs space, experience coordinating brokers, and strong analytical and communication skills to operate under shifting priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in international Trade or similar.
  • 4+ years of experience in the customs space.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Strong understanding of MX customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export processes.
  • Experience coordinating custom broker and Customs service providers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes to ensure comprehensive activity capture and mitigate risk of shipment disruptions related to customs compliance.
  • Review reports on a regular basis to track shipment status and identify potential risks or deviations.
  • Ensure shipments cross within target timeframes, coordinating preventive and corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify root cause of shipment holds/delays and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Follow up on shipments hold due to customs issues, escalated by the logistics team through to resolution.
  • Develop analytic tools.
  • Develop performance metrics.
