A global climate technologies company in Chihuahua is seeking a professional to support import and export processes within their Customs Department. Responsibilities include processing customs documentation, verifying operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in customs, knowledge of foreign trade operations, and a proactive attitude. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring at least three days in the office.

Formación

  • Proficient in English (70-80% conversational).
  • Analytical skills to support compliance and operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional to support our import and export processes, document control, and compliance activities within our Customs Department.

Responsibilities
  1. Process invoicing in the customs inventory control system, including virtual imports and exports, and temporary or permanent imports.
  2. Verify operations using checklists in the customs inventory system.
  3. Validate information in customs declarations according to Annex 22 of RGCE (Foreign Trade General Rules).
  4. Maintain current records and electronic files related to imports and exports.
  5. Support additional customs department activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  6. Monitor import and export cargo follow-up controls.
  7. Consult preferential programs for import benefits.
  8. Verify raw materials received in the ERP system and reconcile with supplier shipments for inventory control.
  9. Manage positive opinions and their archiving.
  10. Ensure compliance with C-TPAT and OEA security standards.
  11. Assist in updating customs procedures.
  12. Support internal and external audits as scheduled by the Customs Supervisor.
  13. Assist in machinery and equipment inventory.
  14. Prepare Submanufacture Notices and Transfer Notices.
  15. Control and finalize documentation for US shipments (Inbonds).
  16. Support special projects within the department.
  17. Review the SAT Blacklist for our virtual suppliers.
  18. Assign security seals to shipments and manage their supply.
  19. Generate COVE files.
  20. Ensure canine inspections for all exports.
  21. Authorize payments for customs declarations and agency fees.
  22. Track new raw material and finished product part numbers.
  23. Manage Duty Draw Back reports.
  24. Maintain physical records of customs operations.
Authority
  1. Generate customs documentation in the customs inventory system.
  2. Monitor shipments via the carrier’s tracking portal.
  3. Upload and modify documents on the customs agency portal.
Basic Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Customs.
  • Knowledge in Import, Export, Virtual operations, Annex 24.
  • Proficiency in English (70-80% conversational).
  • Extensive knowledge of foreign trade operations.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Basic understanding of C-TPAT and OEA standards.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexible schedule availability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in team environments.
  • Analytical skills.
