This position is responsible for import-export operations, customs documentation, ensuring compliance with legal dispositions and procedures by Customs and the plant. The role involves collaboration with competency centers to improve efficiency, maintain database integrity, manage fixed assets, record keeping, reduce duty payments, HTS classification, customs valuation, and ensuring on-time delivery according to plant requirements, new projects, and production line transfers. The coordinator will also determine the status of Imports & Exports.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing import/export activities and documentation.
  2. Ensuring compliance with customs laws and plant procedures.
  3. Collaborating effectively with competency centers and business partners such as customs brokers and operations.
  4. Maintaining inventory control and database integrity.
  5. Managing fixed assets and record-keeping processes.
  6. Performing HTS classification and legal analysis of customs situations.
  7. Developing projects to improve administrative processes.
  8. Preparing monthly metrics and managing internal policies and procedures.
  9. Mapping processes to identify improvements.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Trade, Finance, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing high volumes of information, analyzing risks, and working with foreign trade and customs laws.
  • Ability to work by objectives and knowledge of project management.
  • Experience with procedures and documentation for customs clearance.
  • ERP knowledge (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.) is a plus.
  • Advanced English is mandatory.
