Accountable for providing planning and operational support to AS Maquila's rapidly growing import/export activity resulting in compliance with all applicable governmental regulatory requirements, achieving service goals, and reducing $/case.

Provide a central point of liaison between Logistics, Compliance, and Purchasing teams to coordinate Raw Material and Finished Goods international and Customs areas linked with Expeditors offices that support their Import/Export Process.

  • This position reports to the Account Manager.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with all Branches and AS Maquila contacts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with U.S. / Mexico Cross border and other ports Trade.
  • Ocean Operations / Port Brokerage Knowledge.
  • Understanding of Mexican Import/Export Customs requirements and Maquiladora operations.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and personal presence to communicate internally and externally at all levels as well as across functions. Cross-cultural professional experience a plus.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to contribute to broad business strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and SAP preferred.
