AMETEK Aerospace and Defense is seeking a strong Customer Service Account Specialist with a proven track record of success to join us in Reynosa, MX. The Customer Service Account Specialist will support the Sales team with customer service duties for assigned major distribution customer accounts. Duties to include but not limited to the accurate and timely execution of pricing, quoting, purchase order review, order entry, resolving customer hold issues, expediting customer orders, administration of pricing policies, providing support for forecasting activities and for assisting factories in attaining monthly sales goals. Understanding and administering transfer orders to other AMETEK facilities, resolving debits, credits and outstanding invoices are included in the role.

The Customer Service Account Specialist is responsible for the support and delivery of weekly reports to key accounts, establishing and managing a cadence of routine reviews, and proactive resolution of customer issues. Candidates for this position must be willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial, military, and distribution accounts, serving as the primary point of contact to support customer needs while aligning with AMETEK’s business objectives. Understand, coordinate, and interface with other functional departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality and Finance.
  • Proactively identify solutions to meet customer needs and protect turnaround time.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer RFQs such as commercial and military distribution partners and OEM customers.
  • Manage US Military PO awards, flow-down requirements, and accurately input them into the ERP system to ensure all internal stakeholders are informed and able to fulfill the requirements.
  • Generate and document files for quotations, orders, contracts, and other relevant documents for assigned customers.
  • Experience working with customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, shipping instructions and other customer supplied documentation.
  • Communicate with outside Sales personnel to ensure awareness of and alignment with AMETEK goals and customer needs.
  • Support Outside Sales team in identifying opportunities to increase sales and close contracts with existing customers.
  • Provide input to business forecasts for monthly orders and sales and annual budget and Strategic Plan.
  • Perform tactical functions: financial reporting including budgets, actuals, forecast and reporting requirements; provide regular communication on key customer accounts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business Analytics is strongly preferred
  • Fluent English and Spanish are required
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in planning and execution is required
  • Prior Customer Service experience required
  • Team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability t o be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Oracle / MRP experience is a plus.
