Job Description

The Role

As the Culture & Communications Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and elevating the employee experience at Stori. You’ll lead Communications and our Culture agenda, aligning internal and external messaging to strengthen connection, engagement, and consistency with our purpose and values, while shaping our EVP and ensuring the employee experience is authentically reflected in our employer brand. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with partners across People, PR, Branding, Facilities, and business teams to drive a cohesive and compelling narrative. You’ll work alongside founders and senior leaders to craft impactful messaging, lead company-wide communications, and bring our culture to life through initiatives that foster belonging, transparency, and pride. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, and building culture in high-growth environments. You’ll report to the Director of People Experience and lead initiatives that shape how people experience and talk about life at Stori.

Job Requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in Communications, Culture, and related fields, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth environments (tech, fintech, startups, etc.).
    • Proven track record of designing and executing communication and culture strategies that drive engagement, alignment, and connection.
    • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving People, Leadership, and business areas.
    • Comfortable operating in matrixed, multicultural, and international environments.
    • Familiarity with engagement survey processes and translating insights into actionable plans is a strong plus.
    • Experience in collaboration with Employer Branding is highly valued.
  • Skills
    • Bilingual communicator with excellent written and verbal skills in English and Spanish.
    • Strong storytelling and content creation skills across formats — newsletters, announcements, emails — with clear understanding of tone, audience, and channels.
    • Experienced in crisis communication, managing sensitive topics with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
    • Skilled in organizing on-site events, workshops, and conferences, handling logistics, vendor coordination, and execution end to end.
    • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and familiar with automation tools like Google Script, Make, YAMM, or Autocrat.
    • Experience with internal comms tools such as Mailchimp, BeeFree, and digital signage platforms like Optisigns is a plus.
    • Design and video editing skills using tools like Canva, OBS, CapCut, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
    • Knowledge of livestreaming setup and support using OBS, Google Meet, Zoom, and related tech (audio interfaces, cameras, microphones).
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities with agility and structure.
    • Creative thinker with strong visual sensibility and experience using tools like Canva and Notion.

    • Confident public speaker, with experience addressing diverse audiences and representing the company across internal and external channels.
    • Self-driven team player who fosters trust, alignment, and collaboration across stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and execution of communications across all Stori locations, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Partner with founders, leaders, and People teams to develop cohesive internal and executive messaging that informs, connects, and inspires.
  • Manage the editorial calendar and own internal channels (Slack, newsletters, intranet, videos, live sessions), delivering timely, engaging content.
  • Create and adapt a variety of communications — presentations, announcements, blogs, and speeches — with clear structure, tone, and visual support.
  • Support leadership during key moments like All Hands and internal events, shaping agendas, preparing speakers, and amplifying key messages.
  • Shape our EVP and lead culture and engagement efforts, turning values into meaningful rituals, behaviors, and shared experiences.
  • Bridge internal and external communication efforts to ensure our employer brand, culture narrative, and voice are aligned and authentic.
  • Advise leaders during times of change, crafting messaging that builds transparency, trust, and alignment.
  • Gather feedback and insights to continuously improve communication and culture initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of written and verbal communication, with strong storytelling, editing, and visual skills.
