The CSIS Security Officer 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Has a good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.

Responsibilities:

• This role will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of Citi by interacting with multiple businesses across the enterprise.
• This role will leverage subject matter expertise, whether that is physical security and safety, crisis management, security technology, event security/logistics or vendor management.
• Responsible for the daily security functions at the Citi facility or Citi-occupied property assigned by the Area Security Manager.
• Direct and oversee security and safety activities of site staff, supervise and manage to safeguard premises and employees against risks such as unauthorized entry, fire, theft, vandalism, and criminal activities.
• Enforce security rules and safety standards, review security-related issues, and ensure appropriate measures are taken to reduce risks.
• Participate in training, operational readiness exercises, and ensure preparedness in executing security operations, drills, and managing security systems.
• Report issues with CSIS systems and equipment to maintain readiness for audits.
• Assess risks when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and escalating control issues appropriately.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree plus relevant experience, or High School diploma plus relevant experience (US only).
• Experience adhering to security protocols, operations manuals, and guides.
• Ability to foster relationships with external agencies.
• Ability to make sound judgments quickly.
• Experience maintaining corporate assets in readiness.
• Basic understanding of security vulnerabilities and preventative measures.
• Experience with security & safety technology.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures, report anomalies, and adhere to policies.
• Relevant experience in private or public security sectors.
• Professional security certifications.
• Experience in a corporate or financial services security team.
• Flexibility to work on call, off-hours, and weekends.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree.
