Job summary

Yanfeng Seating is seeking a Costing Engineer / Program Controller for our Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León facility. You will track and manage the cost of complex programs from Program Start to SOP, ensuring the program meets or exceeds its financial targets while supporting continuous cost improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, at least 3 years of cost engineering or program control experience in the automotive sector, and Advanced English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years in Cost Engineer or Program Controller roles.
• Experience in the automotive industry is required.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade and maintain Business Plan timely and accurately after program nomination.
• Establish and upgrade CAR, TA, Financial 8 panel, FSO and related documents as per YF ISO requirements.
• Track CAR/TA, Launch cost, PD2 R&D cost across the development process.
• Track product cost and analyze cost changes due to design changes and value engineering.
• Coordinate and confirm target cost with each department during the program.
• Communicate and coordinate program cost changes with relevant departments; establish and update the financial roadmap.
• Prepare monthly program financial status reports and report open issues in monthly reviews.

Job Summary:

• Track and manage the cost of complex programs from Program Start to SOP, to ensure the program meets or even exceeds the financial target.

Work experience:

At least 3 years related in Cost Engineer, Program Controller or Sales Engineer role and experience in automotive industry.

Main task and responsibility:

• Upgrade and maintain Business Plan timely and accurately after program nomination.
• According to the requirements of YF ISO, establish and upgrade capital authorization request (CAR), Tooling authorization (TA), Financial 8 panel, Financial sign-off (FSO) and other documents in time；
• Track the use of capital authorization request (CAR), Tooling authorization (TA), Launch cost, technology center R&D cost (PD2) in the whole development process
• Track the product cost, analyze and summarize the cost changes caused by product changes and value engineering / value analysis. Coordinate and complete the confirmation of target cost by each department.
• Communicate and coordinate the program cost changes with relevant departments in time, establish the program financial roadmap, promote, track and upgrade programs in the roadmap.
• Complete monthly program financial status report on time, update program financial open issue list and report in program monthly review independently.
• Ensure the financial status meet the requirement from company management team during SOP phase.
