Sensata Technologies, Inc. in Aguascalientes, Mexico is seeking a Cost and Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team. The role covers forecasting, budgeting, reporting and cost analysis to guide business decisions.

You will perform variance analysis, build cost models, report performance to leadership, identify trends and drive process improvements across procurement and payments.

Formación

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
  • Organized with planning and time management to achieve results.
  • Ethical values and integrity with accountability for goals and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills with all levels including suppliers/customers.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual, prior and standard costs.
  • Analyze financial data and create cost and financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial and cost performance and prepare for leadership reviews.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Analyze and interpret data; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Drive process improvements and create standard/ ad-hoc reports and tools.
  • Recommend changes in operating procedures to improve procurement/payments.
  • Examine data to help reduce costs across operations.

The Cost and Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for a variety of aspects including forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analyzing the company's finance and expenses.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Performs variance analysis between actual, prior and standard costs
  • Analyze financial data and create cost and financial models for decision support
  • Report on financial and cost performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools
  • Recommend changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes
  • Examine data to help with reducing cost in all operations
  • Analyze the market and identify opportunities for growth and potential risks

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
