Bosch México is seeking a Cost Engineer to analyze and optimize the costs of products and manufacturing processes. You will work with engineering, purchasing, and finance teams to identify cost drivers and support strategic sourcing decisions.

Applicants should have a solid manufacturing background, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English. This on-site role is based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

The Cost Engineer is responsible for analyzing, calculate, and optimizing product and manufacturing costs to support Bosch's profitability and competitiveness goals. This role collaborates with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and finance teams to evaluate cost drivers, develop cost models, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support sourcing and product development decisions. The Cost Engineer ensures accurate cost forecasting, conducts value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) activities, and provides data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency while maintaining Bosch's quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering; or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Development, or a related engineering function.
• Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional activities.
• Solid technical background with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes as Stamping, Die casting or Machining, materials, product design, and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with competitive product benchmarking and teardown analysis is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Self-driven, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience collaborating with global, cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
