Job Description

Under the supervision of the Cost Accounting Manager, you will support all aspects of cost accounting, including maintaining statistical information for the cost system/ERP, allocating overheads, shared services, and direct costs. Your responsibilities include creating queries, preparing and distributing financial and cost reports, and participating in audits. You will also be involved in annual physical inventory and new product costing analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Manage ERP inventory system administration and cost configurations.
  • Maintain accurate labor and overhead rates in MRP systems.
  • Review standard costs and profit margins regularly.
  • Reconcile inventory-related General Ledger accounts.
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining cost accounting documentation.
  • Provide clear costing analyses to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operations on product costing and margins.
  • Work with Procurement to review material costs and inflation impacts.
  • Maintain operational reports such as standard hours, scrap, efficiency, productivity, sales, and inventory records.
  • Coordinate monthly inventory reviews and physical inventory counts.
  • Compare forecasted and actual sales data at the finished goods level.
  • Lead annual physical inventory processes.
  • Conduct monthly warehouse cycle counts and validate accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, EH&S standards, and legal requirements.
  • Document and update finance and cost accounting procedures.
  • Perform additional assignments as needed and support record retention and compliance efforts.
Authority
  • Maintain and correct labor and overhead rates in MRP systems.
  • Distribute costing reports to operations and management.
Basic Requirements
  • Degree in Public Accounting or Business Administration; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 4-5 years of proven experience in Cost Accounting.
  • Knowledge of MEX and US GAAP standards.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
  • Basic understanding of C-TPAT & OEA standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Power BI/Domo.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proactive with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and current visa for travel to the USA.
  • Fluent in English.
