Vapotherm is a leading Respiratory Therapy medical devices manufacturing company located at the Pacifico Industrial Parque area.

The Cost Accountant is a dynamic role assisting with technical accounting and internal financial reporting. The position will be responsible for maintaining Vapotherm's standard costing system, including labor analysis, cost reduction projects, variance tracking, and job closings. Areas of focus will include Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and R&D.

The Cost Accountant:

1. Analyzes material, labor, or other expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures.
2. Captures and classifies cost data to determine the cost associated with products/product lines, projects, or departments, providing data to support business decisions and financial reporting. Participates in or oversees regular inventory cycle counts.
3. Conducts inventory and warranty reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generates reports for senior management.

Position Requirements - Education, Knowledge, Years of Experience, etc.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish at a B2 or higher level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA, or equivalent; a plus.
• 2-4 years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, report writing tools, advanced Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Solid understanding of standard cost systems and the ability to construct and analyze the standard costs of products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
