About The Role

This Corporate Counsel – LATAM and US position will manage legal matters for the Business Services division, focusing on contract negotiations and legal/regulatory issues related to business development and sales in LATAM and US. Reporting to an Assistant General Counsel in the US, this role requires a proactive, business-oriented attorney to resolve issues affecting our business and customers, working with teams across Sales, Pricing, Marketing, Technology, Information Security, Data Privacy, Legal & Compliance, and Product.

The role involves drafting, negotiating, and closing complex data services agreements in English and Spanish, and advising on regulatory, data privacy, data security, product development, and commercial issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, negotiate, and close complex legal agreements related to data technology services.
• Support sales teams in commercial activities.
• Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Advise on customer engagements, contract management, and product development.
• Identify and resolve issues related to contracts, privacy, security, and regulation.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties.
• Develop strategies to mitigate legal risks and avoid litigation.
• Support corporate maintenance and strategic objectives.
• Assist with other legal matters as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with multinational organizations.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience working closely with sales teams and understanding commercial activities.
• Knowledge of international data transfer and privacy regulations.
• Experience with payments or financial institutions and regulators is advantageous.
