A leading telecommunications company is seeking a Core Network Engineer to support network operations and modernization projects. This fully remote role requires extensive experience in IMS Core Networking and a strong background in network analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale network transformations and excellent communication skills.

Formación

• 5+ years in Core Network Engineering, focusing on LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Network Security, DNS, Diameter, Radius, LDAP, MAP.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and experience with network analysis and diagnostic tools.

Work Mode & Travel:

• Fully remote from LATAM
• Must be available during US Business Hours

We are seeking a highly skilled Core Network Engineer with extensive experience in IMS Core Networking, cloud-native solutions, and advanced troubleshooting skills. The role involves collaborating with a major telecom operator’s Engineering and Operations teams to support daily network activities, manage escalations, and contribute to modernization and transition projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for network operations, issue resolution, and service optimization.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to engineering teams on new platform components.
• Support the transition to a new MVNO arrangement via IMS core expertise.
• Perform log collection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network outages and performance issues.
• Ensure data accuracy and provide insights to meet operational KPIs.

Technical Environment Includes:

• Cloud-Native Communication Suite (CNCS): CSCF, SBC, TAS, MRF
• Messaging Platforms: MMSC, SMSC
• Access and Data Management: AAA, SDL, CSD
• Registers: HSS, HLR
• Others: ENUM platforms, container-based services, signaling directors, operations managers, network analytics tools

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in Core Network Engineering, focusing on LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and 5G
• Expertise in IMS architecture and experience with Telco/Public Cloud environments (VNF/CNF)
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Network Security, DNS, Diameter, Radius, LDAP, MAP
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and experience with network analysis and diagnostic tools
• Experience with large-scale network modernization or transformation projects

Additional Requirements:

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to clearly present complex technical topics
• Experience in customer-facing roles, including on-call and escalation support
• Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration and escalation workflows
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies
