Job summary

CPKC busca un Gerente de Ingeniería de Señales y Comunicaciones (MX) para asegurar la validación de sistemas S&C conforme a normas CPKC, FRA y ATTRAPI. Supervisará pruebas y documentación, coordinará equipos y garantizará la entrega de resultados antes de poner sistemas en servicio.

Se requiere mínimo 5 años en S&C (construcción/diseño/mantenimiento), 3 años liderando pruebas y dominio del inglés y español. Trabajo presencial en Monterrey, con viaje ocasional y beneficios competitivos.

Qualifications

• Se exige mínimo 5 años de experiencia en Construcción, Mantenimiento o Diseño de S&C.
• Se requiere mínimo 3 años de experiencia liderando pruebas o rol equivalente.
• Bilingüe (inglés y español) con habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita.
• Debe ser elegible para trabajar en México y EE. UU.

Responsibilities

• Monitorear, documentar, implementar, y hacer cumplir procesos y regulaciones de S&C.
• Producir y revisar documentación de pruebas a nivel de sistema.
• Coordinar, producir documentación y validar pruebas de software vital.
• Coordinar actividades de verificación y validación, incluyendo planificación de fases y gestión de recursos.
• Asegurar entregas puntuales de hitos y documentación de verificación y validación.
• Autorizar y aprobar el puesta en servicio de sistemas S&C tras las pruebas.
• Revisar y proponer mejoras en estándares técnicos y procedimientos.

Description

The Manager Signals and Communications (S&C) Engineering is tasked with ensuring any new oraltered Signals & Communication (S&C) systems have been rigorously validated per CPKC standards, US Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and Agencia de Trenes y Transporte Público Integrado (ATTRAPI) regulations, and verification results are satisfactory before the S&C system isplaced into service.

Accountabilities

• Monitor Document, implement, monitor, and enforce T&C processes, Regulatory requirements,CPKC Required Practices and Red Book requirements
• Produce, and check system level test documentation
• Coordinate, produce documentation, and validate vital software application testing.
• Coordinate verification and validation activities, including project phasing plan, schedule,resources and test team management, within S&C Construction, S&C Design, and S&C ProjectControls
• Ensure the timely delivery of different milestones, including field audits, and verification andvalidation documentation
• Authorize and approve placing S&C systems in service after test activities are complete
• Review and provide recommendations for improvements for CPKC S&C technical andprocedural standards to ensure that the best possible practices are in place

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 5 years’ S&C Construction, Maintenance, or Design experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in test lead, employee in charge role an asset
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be eligible to work in Mexico and USA

Working Conditions

• This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
• This position may require minimal travel up to 50-60% of the time.
