  • 2+ years of experience in industry and related equipment.

CONTROLS ENGINEER JR

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Controls Engineer you will have the knowledge of automated assembly systems with a solid understanding of the basic theory of industrial controls system applications, design and operation including concepts of power distribution. You will utilize your ability to troubleshoot to solve problems using creative solutions and improve processes while being adaptive to various situations. You will be required to maintain, develop and improve automation controls systems to help increase productivity and efficiency while meeting both facility and customer needs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintaining checklists
  2. Review and input data into PLC log
  3. Review shift reports
  4. Participation in and preparation for managerial meetings
  5. Programming
  6. Work across with other facilities
  7. Work cross functionally with other departments
  8. Utilize team member feedback
  9. Find solutions to critical issues
  10. Maintain and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
  11. HMI performance
  12. Evaluate new manufacturing and controls technologies
  13. Work with tools to find the root cause of an issue
  14. Continuous improvement projects
  15. Keep equipment operating and improve equipment uptime by performing periodic audits
  16. Identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process
  17. Incident reporting
  18. SOT walks
  19. Follow health and safety processes
  20. Act in a proactive and preventative safety behavior
  21. Documentation and reports
  22. Ensure that you stay up to date on controls technology
  23. Stay compliant with training required for position
  24. All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or in related fields
  2. Years of Experience: 2+ year experience in industry and related equipment
  3. English proficiency

TRAVEL:
  1. Travel Required: minimum

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  1. Allen Bradley (Studio 5000), Siemens (step 7), and C++
  2. C sharp and ladder logic experience
  3. Ability to read drawings
  4. Advanced knowledge of electronic devices
  5. Expertise on Fanuc Roberts programming
  6. Knowledge on communication protocols
  7. Advance computer troubleshooting experience
