Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an experienced Controller with a strong hospitality finance background in Palma, ES. You will support financial performance, oversee accounting processes, and work with hotel leadership to optimize resources.

The role requires 5+ years in finance within hotels of similar complexity, advanced Excel skills, and English proficiency. You will contribute to monthly closings, reporting, and cost optimization initiatives across departments.

We are looking for an experienced Controller with a strong hospitality finance background, excellent analytical skills, and a strategic mindset to support the hotel’s financial performance and ensure effective management of its resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret financial statements, operating results, and key financial indicators.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze expenses, costs, and budget variances, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support General Management decision-making.
• Monitor the financial performance of the hotel’s different departments.
• Oversee accounting processes, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal controls.
• Participate in monthly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Partner closely with General Management and department leaders on the hotel’s financial planning and performance.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of finance experience within hotels of similar category and operational complexity.
• Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Director of Finance, or similar financial leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
• Ability to interpret financial information and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Leadership skills and ability to collaborate effectively with operational departments.
• Results-driven and proactive mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with hospitality/financial systems.
• Professional working proficiency in English preferred.
