Purpose

Follow-up and ensure the timely and correct execution of Contracts related to Engineering, Construction, or Supplies for the Project’s Social investments, aligning contractual frameworks and specifications with project objectives and strategy, with a focus on risk and change mitigation.

Responsibilities
  1. Handle day-to-day management and follow-up of contractual obligations in all contracts related to Social investment works.
  2. Ensure that all contract and risk management activities are monitored and executed accurately, protecting the interests of Engie and its affiliates throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Maintain effective and timely communication with contractors.
  4. Support Claim Management in coordination with the Project Team.
What you will bring
Requirements

Key Skills & Competencies

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in contract management with general contractors, including negotiation, management of construction projects, change procedures, cost management, claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access, and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize and retrieve information efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Mexican legislation applicable to contracts, civil, and commercial law, especially concerning EPC, general contractors, civil works, and professional service agreements.
  • Understanding of construction phases related to edification, civil, electrical, and general contracting.
Education
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or equivalent, with extensive experience in the O&G construction industry.
  • Experience in Contracts for Engineering, Construction, or Supplies related to Social projects.

Assignment duration: Initially 3 months, with potential transition to a fixed-term project contract.

Work modality: Presencial

Location: Mérida

For professionals outside Mérida: Per-diem available.
