Volex de México – Tijuana Site is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the deployment and sustainability of VPS/PS, APU, Lean and Operational Excellence systems, driving improvements in performance, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3 years in management, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, ISO 13485/IATF familiarity, and strong English (≥90%). Travel flexibility is required.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 13485 and IATF.
  • English proficiency: 90% or higher.
  • Strong experience leading Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence initiatives.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the launch, implementation, maintenance, and internal auditing of the plant's Operating System, VPS/PS and APU structures.
  • Drive the deployment of VPS standards and World-Class Manufacturing practices across assigned operations.
  • Lead Lean and Kaizen initiatives focused on VAVE, efficiency, margin, OEE, space utilization, and quality.
  • Support improvement of key operational metrics, including OEE, attainment, fill rate, and other business KPIs.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and action plans to address performance gaps and sustain improvements.
  • Train and coach cross-functional teams in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, problem-solving, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Support the implementation and sustainability of the new plant operating system, ensuring standards are effectively deployed and embedded into daily management.
  • Monitor system maturity and drive the organization toward World-Class Manufacturing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, health & safety, legal, and code-of-conduct requirements.

Our Volex de México – Tijuana Site has been a leading company in the region since September 1993, dedicated to manufacturing, assembly, construction, design, marketing, import, export, and activities related to electronic circuits, electrical conduction cables, electrical and computer components, medical diagnostic equipment, and other applications.

We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the deployment and sustainability of our VPS/PS, APU, Lean and Operational Excellence systems, driving measurable improvements in business performance, operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Core Areas of the Role Includes
  • Lead the launch, implementation, maintenance, and internal auditing of the plant's Operating System, VPS/PS and APU structures.
  • Drive the deployment of VPS standards and World-Class Manufacturing practices across assigned operations.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO 13485 and IATF.
  • English proficiency: 90% or higher.
  • Strong experience leading Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the wire harness industry in Engineering or Continuous Improvement leadership roles.
  • Experience with TPS, MOS, VPS, or equivalent operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Minitab, Power BI, and MS Project.
  • Experience with ACAD and SolidWorks is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Availability to travel and work flexible hours as required.
