Continuous Improvement Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:
CI Engineering Position for BU in AEMX – Support, execute and give follow up to the CI strategy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSABILITIES:

1. Executes the requirements of CI Assessments
2. Develops the current implementation plans for Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma.
3. Apply Lean Mfg. techniques through CI events deployed at the BU.
4. Assess the process & procedures, to identify waste, losses & improvement opportunities
5. Coach teams to analyze problem & develop solutions
6. Deploys techniques to balance process flow in the operation to optimize resources and efficiency
7. Develops Visual Factory Management
8. Participates and leads CI events & projects
9. Keeps tracking of the projects & events actions, results & savings
10. Responsible to maintain 5S+1 in his workplace and be a trainer & coach to others
11. Deploy 5S+1 processes implementation, improvements & follow up
12. Supports in any activity related with the department or the company when is required.
13. Identify best practices and shares to implement where needed

1. Location: Mexicali MX
2. Environment: Manufacturing Facility

Skills:

1. Fluent conversational English >80%
2. Analytical skills to identify solutions, risks and prepare decisions
3. Ability to work in multiple projects
4. CI tools, problem solving techniques & analysis knowledge
5. Great hands-on ability with people to train and coach to achieve CI results

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

1. 2 + years engineering experience providing support to projects
2. Pro-actively resolving process efficiency & waste issues

Desirable:

1. Greenbelt certified
2. Project management experience

EDUCATION:

Essential:

1. Bachelor’s degree (Engineer)

Desirable:

1. Project Management
2. Lean manufacturing certification
