Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Contador to join the team in Culiacán, Sinaloa. The role oversees all financial operations, ensures compliance with Mexican regulations, and provides strategic financial insights across departments.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, strong NIF and tax knowledge, and proficiency in SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, and Excel. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; relocation support may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting principles (NIFs) and tax regulations (ISR, IVA).
• Proficiency in SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports per GAAP and local regulations.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to ensure effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals; foster continuous improvement.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth annual audit process.
• Manage cash flow and banking relationships.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
