The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Mexican GAAP (NIFs), tax laws, and experience with Contpaqi and QuickBooks. This hybrid position offers in-office collaboration with remote flexibility in Naucalpan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in general accounting.
• Thorough knowledge of Mexican GAAP (NIFs) and tax laws.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Contpaqi, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIFs) and tax regulations.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns (ISR, IVA).
• Develop and maintain strong internal control systems.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Improve accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
