Ensure the integrity of the inventory by booking journal entries related to daily activity, as of period or calendar month-end. Monitor assigned accounts, including analysis and explanations of variances in the Income Statement and Balance Sheet. Prepare supporting documentation for the reconciliation of general ledger (GL) accounts and coordinate external audits in conjunction with the manager. Maintain the integrity of the GL inventory accounts through the implementation of internal controls and accounting procedures. Provide customer service to internal and external clients with reports or other requirements.
Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study: Accounting (MEX/US GAAP, IFRS).
Years of Experience: Three to five years.
Type of Experience: General accounting experience, preferably in shared service centers and the retail industry.
Special Certifications or Technical Skills: CPA, Mexico GAAP experience, ERP proficiency.
Other/Preferred: Experience in a multinational environment, knowledge of accounting rules in Mexico and US, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and proficiency in English.
