NextGen Ventures is seeking a Compliance Operations Associate for our Monterrey, Mexico office. You will monitor identity verification, payment activity, and unusual winning patterns to detect and prevent fraud across our platform, using Sumsub and SEON to flag anomalies and investigate suspicious accounts.

The role involves evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule and offers hands-on training in fraud detection, KYC, and AML with real investigative ownership from early on.

Responsabilidades

  • Identity Monitoring — Review user identity verification data in Sumsub to confirm accurate KYC compliance and flag anomalies.
  • Fraud Detection — Monitor SEON alerts for signs of account takeover, synthetic or stolen identities, and bot activity.
  • Transaction Review — Watch transaction patterns across our payment processors to prevent chargebacks and identify stolen funds, payment structuring, and other high-risk behavior.
  • AML Screening — Run sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening on flagged accounts, and prepare documentation for suspicious activity reporting in line with our AML program.
  • Responsible Gaming — Identify behavioral indicators of problem gambling, apply cooling-off and self-exclusion controls, and route affected players to the appropriate support pathway.
  • Investigation & Escalation — Conduct preliminary fraud investigations and escalate complex or high-risk cases to the Director of Fraud and the Compliance Senior Manager.
  • Documentation — Use compliance dashboards and internal tools to log, track, and resolve flagged activity, keeping records that hold up to regulator and licensing review.
  • Player and Internal Audits — Verify that wins from high-rollers and large wallets are legitimate, and review internal colleague activity for policy adherence.
  • Collaboration — Work closely with Support and Finance to resolve issues tied to user accounts, payments, and policy violations.
  • Process Adherence — Follow internal workflows and response protocols so fraud prevention stays consistent and defensible.
  • Continuous Learning — Stay current on fraud trends, emerging scam tactics, evolving risksignals, and changes to gaming and AML regulation.

As a Compliance Operations Associateat NextGen Ventures, you'll monitor identity verification, payment activity, and unusual winning patterns to detect and prevent fraud across our platform. Working in KYC toolslike Surt and risk platforms like SEON, you'll flag suspicious behavior, investigate potentiallyfraudulent accounts, and help protect the integrity of our payment ecosystem.

Because fraud doesn't keep business hours, this role works on a rotating shift schedule thatincludes evenings and weekends. It's a hands-on entry point into compliance — you'll learn thetools, the regulations, and the patterns on the job, and you'll be trusted with real decisions early.

This role is critical to protecting our users and upholding the security and trust of our platform.

This is an onsite role based in our Monterrey, Mexico office.

Responsibilities

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to KYC, fraud, payments, chargebacks, or dispute handling in any industry
  • Familiarity with Plaid, SEON, or comparable identity and risk platforms
  • Background in online gaming, sports betting, fintech, or crypto
  • Data analysis skills
