Your challenge
As a member of our Procurement organization, work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop and coordinate key procurement strategies with the BoM. Focus on mechanical metal commodities including aluminum extrusions and strips, copper wire and solders. Be accountable for BOM material and services costs, long term assurance of supply, supplier performance and selection, and supply management information/data management. Provide support and guidance to relevant procurement peers, building supply market intelligence to support business and/or market decisions.
Your responsibilities
Define and execute project/contract roll-outs in coordination with demand side detailed plans.
Deploy procurement strategy by combining procurement techniques and sourcing plans.
Establish programs for developing: supplier relationships, negotiations, performance measurement / feedback.
Contribute to the development of commodity strategies.
Maintain a preferred supplier database.
Develop and maintain appropriate linkages with development, finance and service within various Categories to ensure successful execution of strategies.
Develop procurement policy for a specific portfolio on Sector/Company level.
Drives synergies/improvement for assigned portfolio.
Works closely with the Procurement Engineers (in BOM).
Manage Annual Supplier Negotiation program.
We are looking for
Bachelor’s degree completed in Engineering or related.
+5 years of relevant working experience.
Strong knowledge of procurement in metals (i.e. commodity market strategies, goals and objectives).
Proven negotiation skills.
Excellent communication skills; able to interact with all levels within the organization.
Can successfully manage multiple priorities and achieve goals.
Able to build and maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding the Company’s processes, strategies and industry trends.
Fluent English is a MUST.
