The Brose Group, a family-owned company expanding globally, seeks an experienced Industrial/Mechanical Engineer for strategic procurement in Querétaro. You will manage commodities, drive supplier selection for the NAFTA region, negotiate prices, and coordinate cost analyses to optimize parts and sub-assemblies throughout the product lifecycle.

Required: 5–7 years in automotive direct-material purchasing, stamping process expertise, SAP proficiency, and fluent English.

Formación

• Engineering degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
• 5–7 years purchasing experience on direct production material for automotive industry (Tier or OEM).
• Experience in stamping processes is mandatory.
• Experience with SAP.
• Ability to understand cost breakdown.
• Analytical, communicative and well-spoken; fluent English is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Manage assigned commodities and suppliers including annual price negotiations.
• Develop sourcing strategies for the product group.
• Provide cost- and quality-wise favorable quotations from NAFTA market.
• Lead supplier selection for NAFTA region.
• Perform cost and value analyses with other departments, centers and product teams.
• Drive cost reduction for new parts and sub-assemblies via early supplier involvement.
• Support production with coordination of technical changes and economic improvements.
• Initiate and record cost avoidances during launch timeframe.
• Support Customer Team Buyers in target setting and pricing implications.

Your Tasks

• Responsible for the management of assigned commodities and suppliers including annual price negotiations.
• Responsible for component and supplier sourcing strategies for assigned product group.
• Provides cost and quality wise favorable quotations for required materials out of the NAFTA market.
• Lead supplier selection for the NAFTA region.
• Perform cost and value analysis in cooperation with other departments, centers and product teams.
• Cost reduction for new purchased parts and sub-assemblies by early supplier involvement and by working with the respective Customer Team Buyer(s).
• Provides support to production with coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements.
• Initiates and records cost avoidances during launch timeframe.
• Responsible for the issuance of RFQ's prior to SOP as well as engineering changes during current production.
• Support the Customer Team Buyer(s) in the target setting process (defining the target prices as well as commodity implications).

Your Profile

• Industrial or Mechanical Engineer is preferred.
• Purchasing experience 5-7 years on direct production material for Automotive industry (Tier or OEM) for mechanical parts (molding, stamping, forming, welding).
• Experience in stamping processes is mandatory to be considered.
• Experience with software SAP.
• Experience to understand cost breakdown.
• Analytical skills, communicative and well spoken.
• Fluent English is mandatory to be considered.
