An Engineering Manager in GPE MTY will be responsible for overseeing 20+ engineers to develop their skills for commissioning and administrative activities across multiple projects, primarily in the United States. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel to various sites to engage with engineers and identify opportunities for employee and organizational growth.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with remote team members to monitor progress, success, and identify gaps in performance.
  • Identify, align, and handle skill development and target goals.
  • Assign appropriate technical resources to projects.
  • Implement effective engineering methods, provide technical guidance, and serve as a resource for engineers.
  • Manage workload balancing and forecasting.
  • Lead team and individual expenses, considering the cost impact of direct vs. indirect labor.
  • Forecast workload and lead indirect hours.
  • Ensure engineers are technically trained to meet project requirements.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and communicate effectively with all levels of management, customers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Additional skills include leadership, teamwork, influencing, mentoring, coaching, interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, organization, time management, and proficiency with MS Office tools. Ability to work independently in remote and office environments and travel up to 50% is required.
