Job summary

ALTEN Mexico is seeking an Interiors Design and Release Engineer to lead cockpit component design, validation, and production release. You will own design verification, BOM management, and cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing and suppliers.

The role requires 1–3 years of automotive interiors experience, CAD/PLM proficiency, and strong English skills. You will support prototype builds, DFMEA/PPAP activities, and early validation to meet system objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in interiors design, release, or related areas.
• Knowledge of hard plastic processes: extrusion, injection, thermoforming, compression.
• Experience with ABS, PP, electronic components, fabrics (leather, cloth, vinyl).
• Experience with CAD and PLM systems.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Design and release cockpit interiors components and systems.
• Manage BOM, CAD drawings, and validation activities.
• Coordinate component/system/vehicle level validation and testing.
• Support ERP/PLM processes, change notices, DFMEA/PPAP tasks.
• Launch production support and supplier collaboration.
