Job summary

ALTEN Mexico, a leading engineering company, seeks a Design Engineer – Interior (Soft Trim) in Saltillo, Mexico, to lead interior component development, manage deliverables, and interact with suppliers using PLM/CAD tools.

Requires 1+ years in automotive interior design, CATIA/3DX, GD&T, and DFMEA experience; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration. English level B2–C1. Remote work scheme is offered as a benefit.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in automotive interior design or development.
• Knowledge of soft plastics, fabric materials and interior components.
• Proficiency with CAD tools CATIA and/or 3DX.
• Familiarity with DFMEA/DVPR and GD&T.
• English level B2–C1.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize program requirements and manage deliverables.
• Define part breakdown and assembly sequence.
• Develop source packages (PBOM, eBOM, technical sheets, DVP&R).
• Support technical reviews and supplier evaluations.
• Oversee 3D releases and master section development.
• Maintain issue logs and present them weekly.
• Conduct manufacturing and assembly feasibility studies.
