Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Mexico is seeking a skilled Tool Room Maintenance Technician responsible for supporting and maintaining machine tool equipment. You will read part drawings and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNCs and related tooling to ensure production readiness.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reducing downtime and maintaining equipment uptime in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand part drawings.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Stop work and report hazards according to HSE procedures.
• Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Perform preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance.
• Operate CNC machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines and drill presses.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and housekeeping.
• Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints and downtime.
• Collaborate with TPM teams to improve quality, safety and process.
