Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a CNC Machine Technician to join the Production team. The role focuses on operating CNC machinery, reading blueprints, and ensuring process and product quality through documentation and inspection.

The position requires knowledge of 4- and 5-axis CNC machines, ability to interpret MS and process diagrams, and experience with precision measurement tools. Availability for varied schedules is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or high school diploma is required.
• Knowledge of CNC equipment including 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
• Ability to interpret process diagrams and method sheets (MS).
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of Oracle software is preferred.
• Flexibility and availability to work different schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNC machining processes according to established work instructions, method sheets, and blueprints.
• Inspect materials to ensure process quality requirements are met.
• Carry out process monitoring activities, including checklists and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Investigate the root causes of defects and propose process improvements.
• Train new technicians on proper CNC machining techniques and procedures.
• Verify that the work area complies with applicable specifications (PPS, WP, MS) and reporting requirements.
