Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Create stable and high-performing infrastructure for software deployments – 70%
Perform software deployments.
Implement and maintain monitoring solutions.
Deploy automation of software deployment and automation tools.
Increase application and system responsiveness.
Monitor performance by anticipating and correcting operational issues before they occur.
Create more stable operating environments by continuously improving infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable.
Document processes, procedures, and systems - 10%
Utilize in-house documentation tools for progressing tickets and gathering approvals for work.
Document progress and report on delays/roadblocks to leadership
Collaboratively provide solutions to technical challenges – 20%
Provide technical and process expertise for various development teams.
Participate and possibly lead various maintenance and innovation-based projects.
Support the team’s on-call rotation.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Strong experience with AWS core services and infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with release management, including designing and maintaining deployment pipelines.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools, such as:
Octopus Deploy (primary deployment tool)
Jenkins
GitFlow
Proficient in Java, Python, or any other structured programming language.
Solid understanding of DevOps best practices, including software release and deployment automation.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation scripting
Familiarity with containerization and virtualization concepts
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to work autonomously in a distributed team environment.
Ability to escalate effectively, ask for help when blocked, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, complex environments with multiple concurrent initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Subject matter expert in the area of responsibility or working knowledge of several technical areas.
Typically requires a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
4 years of prior relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Location: This role is currently remote within México; the position will shift to a hybrid model once our Guadalajara office opens.
