Novo Nordisk in Mexico City is seeking a Sr Lead Contract, Budget and Payment to drive end-to-end development, negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements and budgets across Mexico. You will coordinate site payments, manage vendor relationships, and ensure alignment with local FMV and global requirements.

You will also ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements and internal SOPs while partnering with Legal, Ethics and Finance teams to optimize processes and drive timely

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Around 5 years of contracting, financial management, budget administration, vendor management, compliance or legal operations within pharma, CROs or healthcare.
• Solid knowledge of contract management, financial analysis, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across levels.
• Experience managing cross-functional collaborations and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in digital tools that support contracting, budgeting and financial management processes.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Negotiate, draft and manage Clinical Trial Agreements and Master Services Agreements with clinical sites and vendors.
• Prepare and negotiate budgets aligned with local Fair Market Value and global requirements.
• Coordinate site payments end-to-end, ensuring timely processing.
• Drive vendor relationships at country level and consolidate feedback for global management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies across trial budgets.

As Sr. Lead Contract, Budget and Payment, you will lead the end-to-end development, negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements and budgets across Mexico. You will drive compliance, strengthen vendor and site partnerships, and ensure payment processes run accurately and on time. Your strategic guidance will help clinical teams move faster - from contract execution to first patient enrolled - directly supporting Novo Nordisk's ability to bring treatments to people living with serious chronic diseases sooner.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Life Science, Finance, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Around 5 years of experience in contracting, financial management, budget administration, vendor management, compliance or legal operations within the pharmaceutical industry, CROs or healthcare sector.
• Solid knowledge of contract management, financial analysis, budgeting, and legal and compliance requirements in a regulated environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across organisational levels.
• Experience managing cross-functional collaborations and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements.
• Proficiency in digital tools that support contracting, budgeting and financial management processes.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Useful, but not essential:

• Experience with Fair Market Value (FMV) methodologies and country cost guidance development.
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements for clinical trial agreements.

What you'll do

You will be the strategic lead for contracts, budgets and payments for clinical trials in Mexico, ensuring timely execution and compliance across all activities. Your key outcomes include:

• Negotiate, draft and manage Clinical Trial Agreements and Master Services Agreements with clinical sites and local vendors, in coordination with legal and compliance counterparts.
• Prepare and negotiate investigator, trial and vendor budgets aligned with local Fair Market Value and global requirements, evaluating protocol changes for budget impact and escalating financial issues as needed.
• Coordinate site payments end-to-end, ensuring accurate, timely processing in compliance with contracts, budgets and company policies.
• Drive vendor relationships at country level - monitoring performance, leading local execution of FSP and FSO partnerships, and consolidating feedback for global vendor management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies that improve cost efficiency across trial and vendor budgets.
• Support high-quality execution in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements and internal SOPs, acting as the main point of contact for local Legal, Ethics and Compliance initiatives.

Who you'll work with

You will be part of the SSU & Maintenance team within the Clinical Development Centre in Mexico, reporting to the SSU & Maintenance Sr Manager. In Research & Development, colleagues explore scientific ideas and advance them towards clinical testing - and your work in contracts, budgets and payments is essential to keeping that progress on track.

Your closest internal partners include trial squads, Global Project Teams, regional and HQ clinical teams, Finance, Legal, Procurement and cross-functional CDC staff. Externally, you will work directly with clinical site investigators, study coordinators, hospital administrators, vendors, health authorities, ethics committees and patient advocacy organisations. This network of relationships means your ability to create clarity and build alignment will have a direct effect on how quickly and effectively clinical trials progress in Mexico.
