Formación

  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Mexican export regulations.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • 1-3 years experience in import/export classification preferred.

Job Summary

Provides direct product classification and global trade regulatory compliance support, both as an individual contributor and as a member of a global team, to business unit managers for a wide variety of electronic systems, products, assemblies, and services worldwide. The individual will work within corporate policies and procedures, and must comply with U.S. Departments of State and Commerce regulations, other U.S. Government agencies, as well as trade policies and regulations of other countries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist and support the preparation, submission, and reporting on the status of license applications, binding rulings, BTIs, CCATs, Commodity Jurisdictions, and related communications and notifications.
  2. Assist and support the Trade Compliance team with trade compliance audits, reporting, and related regulatory responsibilities.
  3. Support Deemed Export screening and review system-generated sanctioned party list reports, resolving or escalating matches as needed.
  4. Assist with multinational classification, tax, and duty implications, and provide pre-shipment and customs clearance support.
  5. Under the supervision of the Trade Compliance Manager, assign and input HTS-US, ECCNs, and other import/export data into SAP or offline databases.
  6. Manage, sort, extract, or add import/export data using SAP or Excel tools.
  7. Research technical characteristics of parts and products using SAP, vendor websites, and other databases to support classifications.
  8. Follow all company security procedures.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations, Mexican TIGIE Export Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and the Commerce Control List.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with managers, clients, and the public.
  • Problem-solving skills, data collection, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
  • Basic writing, reading, and arithmetic skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's or technical degree required.
  • 1-3 years experience in import/export classification preferred.
  • Engineering background is desirable.
  • Equivalent education, training, or experience may be considered.
