FLF is seeking an experienced Claims Investigator to conduct comprehensive investigations for personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims. You will validate claimant information, collect evidence, and develop findings to support legal strategy and case evaluation.

You will perform digital and social media investigations, preserve evidence, and deliver clear investigative reports. The role offers growth within a rapidly expanding firm with on-site offices in Guadalajara and Tijuana.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Insurance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in claims investigation, insurance investigations, healthcare claims, or a related investigative role.
  • Experience investigating personal injury, automobile accident, or insurance claims.
  • Strong knowledge of investigative methodologies, evidence gathering, and claims validation processes.
  • Experience conducting social media investigations and digital evidence collection.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience utilizing claims management systems, investigative databases, or case management platforms.
  • Professional proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Conduct comprehensive investigations involving personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims.
  • Validate claimant information through interviews, documentation review, public records, and data verification.
  • Identify inconsistencies, potential fraud indicators, and factual discrepancies that may affect claim outcomes.
  • Develop investigative findings that support legal strategy and case evaluation.
  • Conduct investigations across publicly available social media platforms and digital sources.
  • Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Analyze online activity that may impact liability, damages, or claim credibility.
  • Maintain strict compliance with privacy regulations and investigative best practices.
  • Prepare thorough, accurate, and well-organized investigative reports supported by relevant evidence.
  • Maintain complete case documentation, investigative logs, and supporting records.
  • Present findings clearly to attorneys, case managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure investigative documentation meets firm quality standards and legal requirements.
  • Evaluate investigative findings to identify potential risks, liability concerns, and opportunities to strengthen cases.
  • Support attorneys by providing actionable intelligence throughout the litigation and negotiation process.
  • Monitor developing information and recommend additional investigative activities when appropriate.
  • Assist with early case assessments through objective fact gathering and evidence analysis.
  • Utilize claims management systems, databases, and case management platforms to document investigative activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within internal systems.
  • Follow established investigative procedures while identifying opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance investigative quality and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Legal, Case Management, Negotiations, and Operations teams to support successful case outcomes.
  • Communicate investigative findings professionally and effectively across departments.
  • Assist with special investigations and high-priority cases as assigned.
  • Serve as a trusted resource on investigative procedures, evidence collection, and claims validation.

What You'll Do
Claims Investigation & Validation
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations involving personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims.
  • Validate claimant information through interviews, documentation review, public records, and data verification.
  • Identify inconsistencies, potential fraud indicators, and factual discrepancies that may affect claim outcomes.
  • Develop investigative findings that support legal strategy and case evaluation.
Digital & Social Media Investigations
  • Conduct investigations across publicly available social media platforms and digital sources.

Documentation & Investigative Reporting

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Insurance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in claims investigation, insurance investigations, healthcare claims, or a related investigative role.

  • Experience within Personal Injury law firms or insurance carriers.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection, liability investigations, and insurance claim analysis.
  • Experience working with public records databases and investigative research tools.
  • Familiarity with Filevine or other legal case management platforms.
  • Professional certifications in Claims Investigation, Fraud Examination, Insurance, or related disciplines.
