The Banker is a senior-level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets and providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients by formulating investment strategies, M&A, and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance M&A execution and capital raising capabilities, contributing to building Citi's franchise.
2. Meet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of deals.
3. Ensure proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including ethical standards.
4. Anticipate future market changes and identify all types of risks (industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.).
5. Serve as a mentor to junior bankers and support staffing models that align with business needs and career development.
6. Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to their needs and acting as a market trend content provider.
7. Serve as an expert on financial and strategic issues related to corporate finance transactions.
8. Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, and managing control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

1. 15+ years of relevant experience.
2. Experience in people management.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
4. Experience working in an investment banking institution.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience as a Sr. Director in Infrastructure, Power/Energy, Telecom, Industry, Metals, Mining, Airlines.
• Knowledge of the local market (Mexico).
