Cemex is seeking an experienced M&A professional to drive strategic growth, portfolio rebalancing, and cross-border transactions across geographies with a focus on the US. You will lead multi-workstream transactions from screening to closing and manage valuation, structuring, due diligence, and executive communications.

The role requires strong English skills, advanced MS Office proficiency, and a track record in M&A or related fields.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of work experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Consulting, Finance, Controllership, Corporate Planning, Business Development, Innovation, or equivalent areas
  • Advanced English required (C1/C2 or TOEFL/IELTS equivalent)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Master’s degree or equivalent desired, but not mandatory
  • CFA certification or at least level 1 completed desired, but not mandatory

Responsabilidades

  • Lead key workstreams throughout the full transaction lifecycle, from opportunity screening and preliminary assessment through valuation, due diligence, negotiation, approvals, signing, closing and post-closing transition
  • Evaluate acquisition and funding structures, including all-cash transactions, joint ventures, strategic or financial partners, back-to-back transactions, equity contributions, debt financing and staged divestitures
  • Overseeing the end-to-end implementation of new market entries, partnerships, or business initiatives; project management & strategic thinking
  • Analyze market conditions, competitive dynamics, and industry performance to identify opportunities for Cemex’s leadership in building materials
  • Prepare clear, fact-based recommendations and executive presentations for the CEO, Chairman, Executive Committee, Board of Directors
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and structured communication with stakeholders including internal teams, banks, consultants
  • Conduct business valuations using DCF, multiples, and replacement values
  • Coordinate with finance, legal, tax, accounting, sustainability, operations and R&D; develop junior team members

Support strategic growth and portfolio rebalancing initiatives through the identification, evaluation, structuring and execution of mergers and acquisitions opportunities across geographies worldwide with a focus on US.

Main Responsibilities
  • Transaction Execution: Lead key workstreams throughout the full transaction lifecycle, from opportunity screening and preliminary assessment through valuation, due diligence, negotiation, approvals, signing, closing and post-closing transition.
  • Transaction Structuring and Financing. Evaluate acquisition and funding structures, including all-cash transactions, joint ventures, strategic or financial partners, back-to-back transactions, equity contributions, debt financing and staged divestitures.
  • Strategic Initiative Execution: Overseeing the end-to-end implementation of new market entries, partnerships, or business initiatives. Driving execution and accountability across strategic initiatives.Project management & Strategic Thinking: Planning, implementing, and monitoring initiatives to achieve business goals
  • Market Research & Analysis. Analyze market conditions, competitive dynamics, and industry performance to identify opportunities which would improve CEMEX’s positioning as a leader in the building materials industry
  • Executive Decision Support. Prepare clear, fact-based recommendations and executive presentations for the CEO, Chairman, Executive Committee, Board of Directors and other senior decision-making forums.
  • Communication. Ensure timely, accurate, and structured communication with all stakeholders, including internal teams, banks, consultants, counsels. Cultivating and nurturing relationships with stakeholders and partners
  • Valuation. Conduct business valuations using methods like DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), multiples (comparable companies, precedent transactions) and replacement values.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work and coordinate with corporate staff and regional operational areas, including finance, legal, tax, accounting, sustainability, operations and technical, R&D, among others. Development.   • Financial Valuation: Accurately assessing the value of targets
Qualifications
