Job summary

Cemex seeks an analytics-driven professional to support M&A evaluation and execution, developing market assessments, financial analyses, and valuations to inform investment decisions. You will build complex models, assess risks, and prepare decision-ready materials for senior management.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in M&A or related fields, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and advanced English proficiency. This role focuses on Cemex operations in Monterrey, Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or related areas.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• CFA certification is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess business development opportunities across Cemex's businesses (cement, ready-mix, aggregates, and urbanization solutions).
• Build and analyze financial models (DCF, comps) and conduct valuation, scenario/sensitivity analyses to inform decisions.
• Develop investment cases by assessing risks, capital structure, funding requirements, and strategic alignment.
• Incorporate market dynamics and industry trends to inform opportunity attractiveness and fit.
• Translate analyses into actionable recommendations for senior management.
